SENIOR CONSULTANT – Facilities (Education Business Unit)

Location: Remote (unless located in proximity to one of our locations)

Position Description: The work consists of varied data research and analysis duties where appropriate data research methodologies are applied, primarily in PK-12 and Education Facilities.

Major Duties: Participation in the development of K-12 school district master plans including facilities condition assessment, community input strategies, development of inventories, capacity and utilization analysis, program analysis, demographic analysis and projections including GIS mapping, and development of reports and recommendations. Participation in management reviews of the facilities and other support functions in K-12 school districts. Development of clear, objective, well documented reports and recommendations. Participation in the development of project proposals. Other duties as assigned. The work requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present clear and concise client-ready documents. This is project-oriented work and requires keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment where there are frequent interruptions and competing deadlines. Ability to handle stress related to multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Knowledge Required: Proven ability to create databases and analyze large sets of data. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Proven ability to prepare clear and meaningful analysis and communicate results to a variety of audiences. Promotes in-depth understanding of nuances in data with ability to draw conclusions. Manages multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and thoroughness. Record of excellent written and oral communications skills. Knowledge and experience with GIS information systems.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (Architecture or Engineering Credentials Preferred). Background and experience in facilities planning, demographics, educational facilities, or related fields. Minimum of five years of experience in a related field.

Travel: Significant travel and direct client interaction is required on a project-by-project basis (up to 50%).
