
Krystal O’Leary
Krystal specializes in organizational DEI strategy, team leadership and learning, and program innovation, with nearly twenty years of education experience in school districts, nonprofit, and consulting settings. Krystal began her career as a high school teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and moved into education management. After five years with the district, Krystal spent eight years with a national education-based nonprofit, where she helped launch and support the organization’s DEI journey, built internal and external training initiatives, and led the conceptualization and design of high-quality, data-driven, and innovative programs. Krystal went on to lead fundraising and partnership development across California before joining a social impact and consulting firm as the Chief of Staff, where she led key internal priorities, general communications efforts, and the development of its organizational DEI strategy and the associated internal and external DEI efforts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history, a master’s degree in education from UCLA, and certification in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
