August 6, 2018
Tampa, FL – MGT Consulting Group is pleased to welcome Belinda Hancock to its dynamically growing Education Transformation Group as its newest Vice President. Ms. Hancock will be using her high level of expertise to support public schools and districts with innovative high-impact turnaround services.
Ms. Hancock has more than twenty years of national and international consulting experience with Boston Consulting Group, PwC, Accenture and Deloitte, among others. During this time, she helped public and private entities implement transformative strategic and operational changes. With additional experience as a K-12 and university educator, Hancock has an insider’s in-depth understanding of the education space, in particular. She has augmented this knowledge by also working closely with the systems and policy-makers that support education.
Working for Boston Consulting Group, Belinda gathered teams of practitioners, policy leaders and philanthropists from 19 major cities to brainstorm solutions to the hardest challenges in early education. The group went on to support powerful movements in early learning locally and nationally.
She used her organizational skills to lead the launch of the well-respected Chiefs for Change – a national coalition of state and district superintendents.
MGT Consulting CEO Trey Traviesa said of Ms. Hancock’s hiring, “Belinda’s comprehensive background adds a powerful dimension of experience and leadership to our Education Transformation Group.
This team is building on skills MGT has been employing effectively for more than 40 years — curriculum evaluation, student achievement optimization, human capital enhancement, facilities planning, financial management and process development — combining them in a fresh way with new strategies, technologies and insights. Adding someone of Belinda’s caliber strengthens our capacity to respond to the most critical challenges of school districts around the country.”
Giving her reasons for joining the team, Ms. Hancock said of it, “I am so impressed by the incredible breadth and depth of resources within this group and company. We truly have what is needed to bring meaningful change to schools, communities and children.” Ms. Hancock holds a Master’s degree in Communications from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
