A co-founder, Mr. Bailey has been with Layer 3 Communications since inception and was its first engineer. As Co-President and COO he is responsible for executing Layer 3 Communications mission to be a leader in today’s IT environments. He also services as Vice President of MGT Technology. He helps develop strategies for exploiting emerging trends and ensures the “engine” of the company is prepared to take advantage of them. Early in his career, Mr. Bailey held engineering roles at several Fortune 500 companies. He subsequently joined Bay Networks and supported major carriers as the telecom industry embraced networking in the late ‘90s. Mr. Bailey received a BSEE degree from the University of Florida in 1990.
