Sam previously served as the Executive Director of Family Support for Newark Public Schools. She managed Newark’s Family Support Center and Contact Center, which helped students, and families with all issues related to school enrollment. Prior to her work at NPS, Sam served as a leader in the classroom. She taught for five years in Houston, Texas in both district and charter schools. Sam completed her master’s in public policy at the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin American Studies.
