Boston, MA (October 7, 2021) – MGT Group (MGT), a national leader in public sector management and technology services, announced that Kattrina Schmitzer has joined MGT’s Financial Solutions Group as a Manager. Schmitzer brings a combined 20 years of experience in consulting, leadership, system implementations, and compliance. Her primary focus is on the development of MGT’s Health & Human Services work with state agencies, local governments, and nonprofits.

Most recently, Schmitzer served as a Client Services Manager at a consulting company in their Princeton, New Jersey office. In this role, she demonstrated strategic leadership in facilitating the execution of roadmap items aligned to departmental goals. She also served as a Senior Consultant within that organization where she worked with state agencies and school district administrators to identify solutions regarding compliance, systems development, reporting, training, and reimbursement optimization in relation to special education and school-based Medicaid regulations.
She previously worked in the government sector and served as the Special Education Data Project Director at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in Washington, D.C., where she managed the roll out of a special education data management system for the District and led the resolution of two federal findings of noncompliance related to Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) special reporting.
Schmitzer has a Master of Science in information systems technology and her Bachelor of Science in business administration from The George Washington University.
