The Florida Lottery – Classification & Compensation Study

CASE STUDIES

The Florida Lottery sought a detailed review of current positions for relevant minimum qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and job duties.  MGT, in partnership with Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A., conducted a comprehensive position review of the current duties and minimum qualifications of 119 Lottery positions. For comparison purposes, Florida Lottery positions were reviewed against similar positions in other state agencies for non-unique positions and against positions in other selected state Lotteries for lottery unique positions. Position comparisons were completed between surveyed positions and Florida Lottery positions on key factors including minimum qualifications, job duties, and knowledge, skills, and abilities. Revisions were made to Florida Lottery positions, including updated titles, position consolidation, job duties, and minimum qualifications.
